Galway manager Pádraig Joyce has named his team for the Sunday's Allianz League clash with Mayo at Salthill.

It shows nine changes from their last game, a victory against Meath back in March, with Connor Gleeson, Johnny Heaney, Liam Silke, Cein D'Arcy, Eamonn Brannigan and Michael Daly the players to retain their places.

With the Tribesmen going for a first National League title in 39 years, it was confirmed yesterday that Joyce will have to plan without players from county champions Moycullen after confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the club.

As expected, captain Shane Walsh is not named as he continues his recovery from ankle and knee injuries.

Victories for Galway against Mayo and Dublin over the coming weeks would secure the Division 1 title.
