Wolfe Tones 3-10 Longford Slashers 1-06
Wolfe Tones landed another Longford hurling crown after a 3-10 to 1-06 win over Longford Slashers at Pearse Park.
It was very much a game of two halves, with Slashers ahead 1-04 to 0-05 at the break thanks to a Paul Leonard goal.
Three points on the spin from John Mulhearne had the victors in front shortly after the resumption. Goals from Maitiu O'Donohoe and Evan Tully copper-fastened their growing superiority to leave them six points clear with ten minutes left.
Daniel Connell hit Wolfe Tones' third goal to put the gloss on their success and a 20th title was theirs.
We just did it, what a second half performance. Final score 3-10 1-06, team will be back in town in 20 minutes with the JJ Duignan Cup for the 20th time 🇧🇾🇧🇾🇧🇾🇧🇾 @OfficialLDGAA @MostrimGAA pic.twitter.com/pe9ArEeNvj
