Cometh the hour, cometh the man! If ever there was  case for that saying to apply, it would be for Maurice Fitzgerald back in August 2001.

During an enthralling All-Ireland quarter-final between his Kerry and Dublin in Thurles, Fitzgerald and his team-mates were trailing by a point with the seconds fading quickly and their hopes of progression agonisingly over - seemingly.

There was only one kick left but it would be far away on the right sideline from a seemingly impossible vantage point.

Impossible was not a word to be found in Fitzgerald's lingo however...

Darren Frehill has been looking back at that dramatic sideline point equaliser on RTÉ Radio 1's Morning Ireland with the help of Fitzgerald's former Kingdom colleague Dara Ó Cinnéide:

Each week on RTÉ Radio 1's Morning Ireland, we will be delving into the archives to relive the nation's favourite sporting memories.
