Martin Mulkerrins and Catriona Casey underlined their credentials on the international circuit when they claimed the blue-riband titles at the World Players Of Handball in Arizona.
In a hard-fought men's singles final, rising Galway star, Mulkerrins from Moycullen faced-off against top American player, Sean Lenning from Arizona.
Mulkerrins raced into a commanding 10-3 lead, however, Lenning then closed the gap to 10-9.
Yet Mulkerrins upped the ante, ratcheting up another gear to produce a stunning series of five unanswered points to close out 15-9.
In the second game, Mulkerrins seized complete control and despite some stern resistance, blitzed through on an emphatic scoreline of 15-6, to secure a deserved victory and bag his first title of the prestigious series.
Meanwhile, in an all-Irish women's singles final, Cork star, Catriona Casey from Ballydesmond, easily defeated young Galway ace, Ciana Ni Churraoin (Michael Breathnach) in a one-sided clash, over two games.
Having taken the first game 15-4, Casey then went on to clinch the second game, on an equally emphatic 15-5 scoreline, to seal a deserved win and net an incredible nineteenth crown.
Finally, Tyrone stalwart, Niall Kerr (Brackey), claimed the men's senior (50+) title, defeating top Mexican, Lorenzo Renteria, in a thrilling encounter over three games.
Having lost the first game 15-6, Kerr then took the second game 15-8, before proceeding to clinch the third game tiebreaker 15-8 to secure a deserved victory.
