DJ Carey's place in Brian Cody's backroom team for 2020 has been confirmed following a meeting of Kilkenny's county board on Monday night.
Cody will manage the Cats for a 22nd season, after being ratified at the same meeting. Carey and former goalkeeper James McGarry will serve as his selectors.
Carey had managed Kilkenny's under-20 hurling team for the past two seasons, as well as the county's minor footballers this year.
Derek Lyng, who served as selector with the seniors this year, will take the under-20s next season.
Meanwhile, Michael Comerford is the new strength and conditioning coach, replacing Michael Dempsey, who had worked with Kilkenny GAA since 2005.
"Michael Dempsey joined Brian Cody in the senior management team in 2005 and has since being a constant presence behind the scenes, no more so than during Kilkenny's four in a row from 2006-2009 and also in Kilkenny’s All-Ireland successes in 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2015," Kilkenny GAA said in a statement.
"On behalf of Kilkenny GAA and Brian Cody we wish Michael all the best in the future and to thank him for his immense contribution to hurling in Kilkenny."
