Kerry have appointed former Laois boss John Sugure as their new U-20 manager to replace the departed Jack O'Connor.
Sugrue, who is a native of Renard, surprisingly stepped down as Laois manager in late July, after two successful years in charge, in which the county gained two successive promotions and reached the last-12 of the championship twice in a row, competing in the Leinster final in 2018.
Kerry GAA tonight disclosed that Sugrue is their new U-20 manager, replacing Kildare bound Jack O'Connor.
We are delighted to announce that John Sugrue has been ratified as the U20 manager for 2020

O'Connor, a three-time All-Ireland winning boss at senior level in the noughties, managed Kerry at the grade for four seasons, winning Munster titles in 2017 and 2018 (the grade switched to U20 in 2018) but failed to reach an All-Ireland final and replicate his success at senior and minor level.
