Former Kildare senior football manager Cian O'Neill has taken up a backroom staff role with the Cork footballers.
O'Neill stepped down from his Kildare position in July after four years in charge of the Lilywhites, citing a failure of the county to reach their potential as the reason for his exit.
He will now work under Cork under manager Ronan McCarthy, alongside selectors Gary O'Halloran and Sean Hayes.
A statement from the county board confirmed the move and read: "We are delighted to welcome Cian on board given his extensive experience as former Kildare manager, as a former coach to a number of senior inter-county teams in both football and hurling and of course, as Head of Department of Sports, Leisure and Childhood Studies at Cork Institute of Technology."
Also, joining the management team as strength and conditioning coach is Kevin Smith, working under newly appointed high performance manager Aidan O'Connell.
