An average of 804,500 viewers watched Tipperary clinch the All-Ireland Hurling Championship crown against Kilkenny on RTÉ2.
The audience peaked at 901,900 just after 5pm as the Premier County were on the verge of a first Liam MacCarthy success since 2016.
In total 72% of those watching television at the time were tuned in.
There were a further 96,000 streams on RTÉ Player.
