Cork forward Orla Finn has won The Croke Park/LGFA Player of the Month award for May.

The Kinsale star picks up the accolade following a string of impressive performances, including the Lidl National League Division 1 Final victory over Galway where she scored five points. She finished the league campaign with a tally of 1-55.

Finn was selected as Player of the Match that day and was subsequently named on the Division 1 Lidl Team of the National League.

The 27-year-old also kicked 11 points in Cork's opening TG4 Munster senior championship clash with Waterford at the end of the month.

Cork went on to book a place in the Munster with a win over Kerry, and will hope to defend their title against Waterford in the decider on Sunday at Fraher Field, Dungarvan.

Throw-in is at 6.30pm.
