Christy Ring & Nicky Rackard round-ups

Meath will meet Derry in the semi-finals of the Christy Ring, while Down will take on Roscommon after the lats of the group games were played out on Saturday afternoon.

The Royal County, who topped Group 2, were already assured of progression before they battled past the Rossies 0-23 to 0-19.

Roscommon were also through already but the two played out an entertaining contest in Athleague.

Derry were beaten 1-16 to 0-16 by Wicklow at Celtic Park but squeeze through ahead of the Garden County thanks to a better points difference.

Group 1 winners Down absolutely hammered Donegal 7-22 to 2-15 in Letterkenny. They will face Roscommon in the other last-four game.

Donegal are now facing into a relegation play-off with London, who lost 2-19 to 2-16 in Ruislip against Kildare. Jack Sheridan scored both of the Lilies' goals.

In the Nicky Rackard Cup, Armagh stepped on the gas in second half to ease past Longford and make the semis.

They trailed by three points at Pearse Park but overpowered their hosts on the turnaround, winning 0-24 to 0-14 to top Group 1.

Warwickshire go through with them. They drew with Monaghan, 2-15 to 3-12 in Inniskeen to secure a top-two finish.

In Group 2 Sligo were held to a draw by Mayo, 2-16 to 1-19, though the former still topped the table.

Tyrone progress with the Green and Red after they turned over Louth 2-21 to 1-17 at Healy Park. Louth will play Monaghan in a relegation play-off.
