Wexford manager Davy Fitzgerald gave a passionate defence of his side after the draw with Galway in the Leinster Hurling Championship this afternoon.

Fitzgerald covered a number of topics including his dismissal from the sideline, the performance of his side and the upcoming two home games at Wexford Park.

He told RTÉ Sport: "I am so proud of those lads. Did you see the courage? I am so proud of those Wexford lads.

"I love players that will never give in. These Wexford boys never gave in."

He also referenced what he saw as the wrong call from the referee to dismiss him and said the sideline official was looking "to make a name for himself and probably did."

Watch it above.
