Cora Staunton has thanked 'everyone' for their help and support in the aftermath of her injury.
The four-time All-Ireland winner suffered a double leg break while playing in the AFL Sydney Premier Division Women’s competition and has since undergone surgery.
She sustained the injury from a tackle in the third quarter of their game against Macquarie University and on Saturday posted a pictures from her hospital bed and when she sustained the injury.

In her post on Twitter Staunton wrote: "Sport can be cruel sometimes but hopefully this is only another challenge.
"Just want to say a huge thank u to everyone for all and support and help over the last 48 hours. Will be forever grateful to all my @GWSGIANTS family and UNSW team for everything ye have done for me."
