Wexford hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald will take up the role of coach with the Sixmilebridge senior hurling team.
The news was announced at the club’s AGM on Friday night.
Fitzgerald is a Sixmilebridge native; he was part of the team who won an All-Ireland club title in 1996 and has won a total of six county championships.
The team will be managed by Tim Crowe who is a former Clare hurling selector and was an international athlete.
Last year, Sixmilebridge were knocked out of the Clare championship by neighbours Cratloe at the quarter-final stage.
They last won the Clare county title in 2017.
