GAA round-up: Four-goal Limerick ease past Kerry in Tralee; wins for Tyrone, Kildare & Wexford

All-Ireland champions Limerick enjoyed a comprehensive 4-14 to 0-11 victory over Kerry in the Co Op SuperStores Munster Hurling League at Austin Stack Park.

David Reidy and Oisin O’Reilly scored early goals for Limerick at the rain-soaked Tralee venue as John Kiely's side took a 2-04 to 0-06 lead into the second half.

Limerick's dominance continues after the break with further goals from Graeme Mulcahy and Barry Murphy secured Limerick's first victory of the new season.

Elsewhere, Tyrone beat Derry 0-20 to 0-11 in the Dr McKenna Cup, thanks to an excellent second-half display by Mickey Harte's side.

Darragh Canavan made his debut for the Red Hand, the son of former great Peter was introduced midway through the second half.

And there were two games in the Bord Na Mona O'Byrne Cup as Kildare and Wexford enjoyed victories over Offaly and Laois respectively.

Jimmy Hyland also scored six points out of Kildare's tally of twenty at Faithful Fields.

Meanwhile, Robert Frayne and Niall Hughes scored goals either side of half-time to allow Wexford to move clear of Laois and record a 2-13 to 1-11 victory in Enniscorthy.

Wexford took a three-point lead into the break following an evenly matched opening period, and ran out comfortable winners, taking the contest by five points at full-time.
