Dublin senior football manager Jim Gavin has extended his contract with the All-Ireland champions, the county board has confirmed.

Gavin's new contract with the Dubs is for three years and will take him up until the end of the 2021 season.

The Round Towers clubman has enjoyed huge success with the county, leading them to four consecutive All-Ireland titles and Gavin has lost just one Championship game during his time with the Dubs.

Dublin chairman Sean Shanley welcomed the news and said: "Jim has contributed so much time and hard work on a voluntary basis to the Dublin team and I thank him and his backroom team for their continued efforts and dedication."
