Louth have announced Wayne Kierans as their new senior football manager.
The former minor manager has been handed a two-year term.
Most recently Kierans was the manager of the Louth Under -20s and in 2017 he led the county minors to the Leinster final.
London boss Ciaran Dealy and Meath man Kit Henry had also been linked to the position but it's Kierans who takes over after Pete McGrath stepped down in July.
The Wee County's summer ended with a 10-point defeat to Leitrim in the second round of the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers.
Louth GAA are delighted to announce O'Connells clubman, Wayne Kierans as our new County Senior Football Team Manager on a 2 year term. Wayne led our minors to the 2017 Leinster Minor Final and was in charge of our Under 20's this year.
