The Connacht LGFA will hear Carnacon's appeal against their Mayo league and championship expulsion tonight.
The All-Ireland ladies club champions were thrown out of the Mayo league and championship as a result of the walk-out by a number of their players from the county's senior panel in June.
Four players not from Carnacon also withdrew from the panel but their clubs were not punished as it is believed the Mayo county board considers those players to have acted individually rather than it being an action by the club.
The club were ejected under Rule 288 of the LGFA, which states that "any member of the Association found guilty of conduct calculated to bring the Association into disrepute shall be liable to expulsion or suspension".
The club later released a statement, saying they were 'devastated' by the decision taken by the Mayo county board and confirming their intention to appeal.
