Michael Graham looks set to take over from Mattie McGleenan as Cavan senior football manager after being proposed by the Cavan County Board Management Committee.

The former Cavan senior player has previously managed Cavan minors and has had success at club level in Cavan winning Junior and Intermediate titles with Butlersbridge and Drumalee, and with Mullinalaghta in Longford winning back to back senior titles in 2016 & 2017.

The committee propose Graham for ratification ahead of Monday evening’s meeting of the County Board.

McGleenan left his position after the All-Ireland qualifier defeat at the hands of Tyrone in July.

The former Tyrone player replaced Terry Hyland as manager two years ago and Cavan were relegated to Division Two in his first season in charge.
