Paul Rouse has opted not to continue in the position of Offaly football manager.
Offaly have confirmed the news to RTÉ Sport, with Rouse citing work and family commitments as the reason he is unable to commit to the role.
He took over the management position in May after the dramatic departure of Stephen Wallace and was joined with a backroom team of Rhode duo Stephen Darby and Alan McNamee, as well as his brother John.
They beat Antrim in the qualifiers and narrowly lost to Clare in the second round.
It was expected he would remain in the role but after considering his schedule, as well as being based in Dublin, he has decided not to stay on.
Offaly chairman Tommy Byrne said: "Paul and I spoke this morning. He has come to the conclusion he will not be able to stay on.
"He loved his time with us but was trying to balance his busy work and family life, and the travelling, and felt he simply couldn’t make it happen for next season. We respect that and the great work he did."
Offaly will begin their search for a new manager imminently.
