Clare joint boss Donal Moloney says they are focused on "the next contest" rather than playing in Croke Park, as they prepare to make a return to GAA headquarters for the first time since winning the 2013 All-Ireland SHC final.
The Banner fought off a spirited comeback from Wexford to book their place in the All-Ireland semi-finals where they will face the reigning champions Galway at the end of the month.
"It's a long time, we've had to earn it and we're back there so and we'll look forward to that. But it's not about Croke Park, it's about the next contest," a delighted Moloney told RTÉ Sport after their win in Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
"It's Galway in two weeks' time and it'll be a great game."
Clare were looking to bounce back from their poor second-half display against Cork in the Munster final and they achieved that goal against Davy Fitzgerald's charges.
The achievement was all the more poignant for Moloney, who only received clearance to be on the sidelines for the game earlier on Saturday after his two-month ban was overturned by the DRA, according to a report on Clare FM.
He was mentioned in the referee's report for an incident in the aftermath of Clare's Munster championship win over Tipperary and the ban was initially upheld by the CHC.
"It's great to be back and I'm very grateful to all who listened to me over the last few weeks," Moloney added, "because there were some pretty difficult times there in the last two or three weeks both on and off the field but today the lads were magnificent and fair play to Wexford as well.
"Clare and Wexford would be considered a little in the second tier. We served up a good game here today and I'm really proud of the lads with regards how they performed. It's challenging to come back after a Munster final and the disappointment of the second half in that. They dug in today and they were just fantastic."
Clare had 10 scorers throughout the contest which was played out in front of a poor turnout of 10,255 spectators.
Peter Duggan was the top-scorer for the Banner with (0-07, 0-05f) while Tony Kelly posted all five of his points from play.
Moloney commended the forwards for their accuracy in front of goals, but also paid tribute to the rest of the side who worked to prevent a Wexford comeback.
"Every time Wexford closed the gap they really pushed on again. The subs came on and scored and we're very proud of them all today. Not just the forwards but all players."
