Donncha O’Connor has decided to call time on his Cork career following the Rebels’ heavy qualifier defeat to Tyrone.
Ronan McCarthy’s side suffered a 3-20 to 0-13 point defeat in the round four qualifier to bring an end to a disappointing campaign.
O’Connor came on as a second-half substitute in Portlaoise, but has decided to hang up his inter-county boots at the age of 37.
The Ballydesmond clubman never played for Cork at minor or U21 level, but was part of the All-Ireland winning junior side of 2005.

What a servant to the Cork cause. A true great, and a total gentleman on and off the field.
Thanks for the wonderful memories.
The following year he made his senior debut and would win four Munster titles plus an All-Ireland title in 2010.
