Former Kilkenny hurler Darragh Joyce will make his Aussie Rules debut this weekend after being named in St Kilda's starting lineup for their clash with Melbourne.
The 21-year-old has impressed enough for the reserves in the second-tier Victorian Football League to get the nod ahead of defender Logan Austin.

He first moved Down Under back in October 2016 having featured in the Cats' Championship campaign over the summer. Joyce won an All-Ireland hurling minor crown with his county four years ago.
A video released on the St Kilda's YouTube page shows the moment Joyce learned he will finally get a taste of first-team action.
Darragh's older brother Kieran retired from inter-county duty last October having won four Liam MacCarthys with Kilkenny.
He tweeted: "Wishing the big little brother @JoyceD97 the very best of luck on his senior debut for @stkildafc at the weekend. He is now mammy's favourite son. Some achievement for a @KilkennyCLG player in his 2nd season."
