Dublin could be without the services of star forward Diarmuid Connolly this summer, as the St Vincent's talisman ponders a move to the USA to play Gaelic football in the States.
The Irish Examiner reports the 30-year-old is considering a move across the Atlantic, with New York and Boston his most likely destination should he take the plunge.
Connolly made a crucial cameo in last year's All-Ireland SFC final defeat of Mayo, helping the Sky Blues over the line when the game was in the melting pot.
His only appearance for the Dubs this year came in the Allianz Football League Division win against the same opposition in February; Connolly came off the bench in place of Ciaran Kilkenny in the second half.
Last month, manager Jim Gavin told RTÉ Sport: "Diarmuid, over the last number of weeks, just hasn't been available for club or county activity.
"We respect that decision and I hope everybody else does as well. We play an amateur sport.
"The door will always be open for Diarmuid and hopefully we see him back playing Gaelic games in the not too distant future."
The door may be open, but Connolly could be going off the beaten track for the coming months, and a man with 10 Leinster titles and five All-Irelands looks like he won't be part of the Dubs' drive for four Sam Maguires on the bounce.
