Cork manager John Meyler says that the concession of "a few sloppy frees" led to Tipperary's comeback in their Munster SHC clash at Thurles.
The reigning Munster champions dominated the first half and looked to be on course for an emphatic win as they built up a healthy nine-point lead at the interval.
But Tipperary produced an emphatic response after the restart, hitting five points without reply followed by a Noel McGrath goal to bring them to within three of Cork.
The rebels ultimately let victory slip from their grasp following a late equaliser from Jake Morris, and Meyler says that coughing up some frees at the start of the second half contributed to Tipp's fightback.

"It was a fantastic game of hurling," he told RTÉ Sport.
"Even to come out of Thurles with a point, I'm delighted with that in the overall context. Nine points up at half-time and some scintillating hurling in the first half.
The second half then, we gave away a few sloppy frees at the start of the second half and let Tipperary back into the game. They really showed their ability and really drove at us at the start of the second half.
"Those four or five points were critical and we needed to keep ourselves in the game and we just let Tipp back in for a few minutes.
"We need to focus on Limerick now, Tipperary is over move on."
"There's obviously disappointment, you want to win every game but listen we've a six-day turnaround to Limerick on Saturday night and that game against Tipp is over and gone to the history books."
