A flurry of first-half goals eased All-Ireland champions Dublin to an anticipated landslide Leinster SFC win over outclassed Wicklow at O'Moore Park.
A whopping 31 places separated the sides in Allianz league terms and there were almost as many points between them at full-time.
It was all too easy for Jim Gavin's men who were virtually assured of the quarter-final win after just 20 minutes when they led 2-8 to 0-2.
Brian Fenton and Dean Rock scored those early goals and two more Dublin majors before half-time, from Ciaran Kilkenny and Con O'Callaghan, left 18 between them at the interval.
Dublin fans in the 11,786 crowd in Portlaoise were already looking towards a June 10 Leinster semi-final date with Longford at Croke Park.
Kilkenny was superb and finished with 1-07 while Fenton lorded it at midfield, contributing 1-03, though Dublin were on top in all sectors.
Boss Gavin took the opportunity to run in his full allocation of substitutes by the 52nd minute with fringe performers Eoin Murchan and Conor McHugh getting opportunities.
Wicklow came into the game with nothing to lose after shocking Offaly in the first-round.
But even boss John Evans acknowledged that facing a Dublin side that's only lost once in Leinster in 13 years was akin to facing a 'firing squad'.
And from the early stages it was clear that it would be a long afternoon for the Garden County who leaked 2-07 before finally getting on the score-sheet.
Paddy Andrews was a late addition to the Dublin lineup in place of John Small, a change that necessitated several positional changes.
The versatile Brian Howard, named at wing-forward, reverted to defence to take up Small's position with O'Callaghan at wing-forward and Andrews in the corner.
Wicklow got hoards behind the ball when Dublin attacked but it didn't make a difference as the holders cut through the defence with ease.
Fenton got the goal siege goal after eight minutes and Rock added a second in the 15th minute when he palmed home from close range.
The third and fourth, from Kilkenny and O'Callaghan, came within seconds of eachother approaching the break.
Midfielder James Stafford opened Wicklow's scoring and the powerful Rathnew man moved into full-forward then from where he pinched a 26th minute goal.
It was a typical Stafford goal as the big man rose up ahead of Stephen Cluxton to fist to the net.
He had a second opportunity late in the half but Cluxton saved on that occasion and Dublin responded with those two goals, leaving them 4-13 to 1-4 clear at the interval.
Surprisingly, there were no more Dublin goals though Fenton did have a shot well saved by Mark Jackson.
They found points easy to come by and finished with 11 different scorers including subs McHugh and Colm Basquel.
