DJ Carey named as Kilkenny Under-21 boss

Kilkenny hurling legend DJ Carey has been appointed as manager of the county’s Under-21 side.

The nine-time All Star holds five Liam MacCarthy titles and takes over from Eddie Brennan, who stepped down last month after leading the team to the All-Ireland final. 

Carey, 47, had been in charge of the Carlow IT team recently. His selection committee will be appointed at a later date.
