Hurling round-up: St Mullins hat-trick in Carlow - Roscommon and Wicklow stalemate

St Mullins won their third Carlow senior hurling title on the trot when they overcame Mount Leinster Rangers 2-16 to 0-13 at Netwatch Dr Cullen Park.

The winners were a point ahead at the break - 1-6 to 0-08 - Marty Kavanagh raising a green flag.

Seamus Murphy goaled in the second half to give Mullins breathing space. 

Clonkill/Raharney from Westmeath await now await the Carlow champions in the Leinster quarter-final.

Elsewhere, the county finals in Roscommon and Wicklow finished level.

Oran scored three first-half goals in the Roscommon decider but Four Roads kept in touch as it finished 3-08 to 0-17.

Three late points for Carnew Emmets ensured another day out for them in the Wicklow decider against Bray Emmets. It finished 1-09 to 0-12.

In London, Robert Emmetts got the better of St Gabriel's 2-13 to 1-12.
