Kilcoo 1-08 Scotstown 0-09

Kilcoo of Down advanced to the quarter-finals of the Ulster senior football club championship after a two-point win over Monaghan's Scotstown in Clones.

Despite playing into the wind, Kilcoo led at half-time by 0-05 to 0-04, but a Ryan Johnston goal on 36 minutes ultimately proved to be the difference to set Paul McIver's charges on their way to victory.

Scotstown were reduced to 13 men in stoppage time after Frank Caulfield (second yellow) and Brian McGinnity (red) were sent sent to the line.

Next up for Kilcoo is a date with Donegal's Glenswilly.
