Moran proud of Mayo's second-half fight

Mayo’s Andy Moran admitted that his side were not happy with their first half in today’s All-Ireland final but felt that their second-half performance was something to be proud of.

The Green and Red battled back from a five-point half-time defecit to grab a last-gasp draw with Dublin to send this year’s Championship to a replay, which will take place on Saturday, 1 October at Croke Park.

Speaking to RTE Sport after the game, Moran said: “Half time was a strange place, we hadn’t performed but I think we did ourselves justice in the second half.

“We were disappointed with the way we played. Our performance wasn’t up to standard but at least we came out in the second half and at least, showed what we can do.”
