John Kiely has been confirmed as the new Limerick senior hurling manager for the next three years.

Kiley, who takes over from TJ Ryan, guided the Shannonsiders to All-Ireland U-21 success in 2015 and served as a selector under John Allen in 2013 when the senior side were crowned Munster champions  

Former Clare trainer and selector Paul Kinnerk and strength and conditioning coach Joe O'Connor will be involved in Kiely's backroom team alongside selector Jimmy Quilty.

Limerick will begin life next spring in Division 1B and provisionally will begin their campaign away to Wexford on 12 February.
