Clare star Podge Collins is poised to line up for both the county’s footballers and hurlers this weekend.
First up, the Cratloe clubman will join the Banner’s footballers as they face Roscommon in Round 4A of the football qualifiers.
Clare, who have accounted for both Sligo and Laois since their exit to Kerry in the Munster Championship, will meet the Rossies at Pearse Stadium in Salthill on 3pm on Saturday.
Less than 24 hours after that game, Collins could play a pivotal role when the county’s hurlers take on Galway in the second game of an All-Ireland quarter-final double-header at Semple Stadium.
Collins has already featured for the county’s footballers and hurlers on the same weekend during the championship, with the full-forward playing for Davy Fitzgerald’s hurlers for the full 70 minutes in the win over Limerick and then featuring as a 48th-minut sub for the footballers, managed by his father Colm, in the qualifier victory over Laois.
