Louth still on course for a return to Division 3

Antrim and Louth have maintained their winning start in Allianz League Division 4.

Antrim were also home winners, as they delivered a comfortable 2-14 to 0-09 win over Leitrim at Corrigan Park, Belfast.

The hosts dug deep, overturning a 0-06 to 0-02 deficit after 28 minutes, to take a well earned 11-point win.

Leitrim made all the early running, with scores from Emlyn Mulligan, Kevin Conlon and Ronan Kennedy helping them to a four-point lead.

However, Antrim responded well before the break with a Tomas McCann goal, and a brace of frees from the Erins Own Cargin clubman helping them to a 1-04 to 0-06 half-time lead.

McCann continued to impress on the restart, with Sean Burke also on target as they pulled six points clear.

Leitrim found it hard to offer a response and were held to just three second half points, with this Antrim victory rounded off with their second goal in the fourth minute of injury-time, with a superbly taken score by Brian Neeson.

Louth eased to their third consecutive win, following a 0-15 to 1-02 victory over Wicklow in Drogheda.

The hosts led throughout, and were 0-04 to 0-00 ahead early on, with Ryan Burns claiming two of their early scores.

The Wee County led by 0-07 to 0-02 at half-time, and although Paul Cunningham converted a 47th minute penalty for Wicklow to cut the gap to four points, this was as good as it got.

Wexford claimed their second win of the campaign, with a 4-20 to 1-06 over bottom-placed London at Innovate Wexford Park.

London manager Ciaran Deely had a tough at the office against his native county, with the sides level after 14 minutes, before Wexford took complete control.

The visitors opened the scoring inside 40 seconds with a Sean Hickey goal, but trailed by 1-10 to 1-01 at half-time, with Tiernan Rossiter claiming Wexford’s goal.

Wexford never relented on the restart, with Paul Curtis, John Tubritt and Daithí Waters netting goals on the way to a 23-point win.

Waterford claimed their first League win since January 2015, with a 3-15 to 0-15 win over Carlow at Netwatch Cullen Park.

The visitors led by the minimum margin on a 1-05 to 0-07 interval score-line, with Patrick Hurney (2-05) netting their goal after just seven minutes.

Both sides worked hard on the restart, but Waterford looked more impressive, with Hurney netting a second goal.

Carlow were reduced to 14 men late on, following a second yellow card for Daniel St Ledger.
