Rory Kavanagh will make a return to the Donegal panel after coming out of inter-county retirement.

The 33-year-old left the panel this time last year and spent the summer in America but will reportedly re-join the squad for training this week.

The St Eunan's man is expected to be part of the squad to take on Down in the opening round of National League fixtures at the end of the month.

Kavanagh won an All-Ireland title with Donegal in 2012 under Jim McGuinness, while he also has three Ulster titles to his name.
