As expected, Brian Cody was ratified for an 18th consecutive year as Kilkenny manager last night.

Cody has won an incredible 11 All-Ireland titles in his 17 seasons to date with the Cats, including this year's decider against Galway.

Meanwhile, his former players  Eddie Brennan and David Herity have both taken up management roles.

Sunday Game analyst Brennan is the new manager of the Kilkenny under 21 hurling team while former Black and Amber goalkeeper Herity takes over at the helm of the Dublin senior camogie team.

London have appointed former Wexford captain Ciaran Deely as their new senior football manager.

Deely works with Premier League side QPR as a sports scientist and has previously been involved with London as a coach.
