Sunday Game presenter Michael Lyster has been named as the recipient of the Gaelic Writers’ Association Lifetime Achievement Award for 2015.
Lyster has been the presenter of RTÉ's flagship programme since 1984 and before joining the national broadcaster was a reporter with the Tuam Herald. He will be presented by with his award at a function tonight in Dublin's Jackson Court Hotel.
Others to be honoured include Oisin McConville and Brendan Cummins, who both have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
In addition, Dublin’s Philly McMahon has been voted as the 2015 Football Personality of the Year with Kilkenny defender Paul Murphy winning the hurling accolade.
Kerry’s John O’Leary from the Spa club in Killarney has been named PRO of the Year.
