Briege Corkery put Cork's 10th All-Ireland Ladies SF crown in 11 years down to sheer grit and determination as she and Rena Buckley became the most decorated players in the history of Gaelic games.

The Rebelettes lifted their fifth All-Ireland in a row with a 0-12 to 0-10 victory over Dublin at Croke Park with dual starts Corkery and Rena Buckley both collecting their 16th All-Ireland medal across both codes, two weeks after helping Cork to the camogie title with victory over Galway.

"It was an incredibly tough game. I think it was a very defensive game all round, they funnelled back, we funnelled back. It was just so tight," said Corkery.

"Dublin are a great team. Words can't describe the feeling we have. Last July we were in a bit of disarray and we just pulled it out of the bag by coming back together and telling each other to work hard.

"Myself and Rena [Buckley] are so lucky that we've come up with a bunch of girls that want the same things as us and that's to play hard, win hard and party hard!"
