Kerry captain Kieran Donaghy says the hungrier side will win Sunday's All-Ireland final - and Kerry have been "hungry all year."

Speaking to RTÉ Sport, the Austin Stacks man said the side will not be getting caught up in any perception that Kerry may 'owe Dublin one' following championship defeats in 2013 and 2011.

"That's certainly something people will say, certainly people from Kerry, but you can't get caught up in that as a player and as a team," said Donaghy.

"This 2015 Dublin team is different to the 2013 team, and its the same with Kerry. We're different teams at different stages on our graph.

"Stopping goals is very important to winning games and we know that if we are to go on and win this All-Ireland we can't be conceding goals" - Kieran Donaghy

"It's the All-Ireland final in 2015, it won’t come around again and we won’t get a second chance at it, so we’re just hoping that we put the best foot forward and get the result we want."

Dublin have scored a mind-boggling 18 goals on their way to the decider, and Donaghy was conscious that stopping Dubin's prolific forwards will be crucial if Kerry are to succeed.

"Stopping goals is very important to winning games and we know that if we are to go on and win this All Ireland we can't be conceding goals," said Donaghy.

"That'll be a huge part of whether we win or lose the game - we know that as a team and I'm sure the management know that."

Kerry will have been out of action for four weeks when they line out for the final, while Dublin have endured two tough tests against Mayo in the meantime. The Kerry full forward feels this may benefit the Metropolitans.

"You couldn't wish for two greater tests than that Mayo side, we found that out last year," said Donaghy.

"They're a fantastic side, very unlucky over the last number of years not to get the ultimate prize, but they truly tested a very good Dublin team and that'll stand to them."

Ahead of the decider, Donaghy said the mood in the camp is good: "There's a great bunch in there... we've been on the road, some of us, for a very long time and the younger guys have come in and added a lot of pep to us in the last few years, and they’re trying to help us reach the ultimate goal.

"When we met up in Novemeber after the All Ireland we asked can we go and do this all over again, and do we have the stomach for the hard work and the training?

"I think we've answered that in the last few weeks."

Whether he features on Sunday or not, Donaghy is hoping to see Kerry claim a 38th All-Ireland title, saying: "At the end of the day its about Kerry winning, its not about individuals and we're strong on that. I've been around long enough to see both sides of it, and once its Kerry men on the Hogan steps that's all we want."
