Donegal have brought Karl Lacey and Martin McElhinney back into the starting line-up for their All-Ireland quarter-final clash with Mayo on Saturday evening.
2012 Footballer of the Year Lacey, who had been struggling with a knee injury, returns after missing last weekend's victory over Galway.
McElhinney, who came on as a sub at half-time in that game, will line out alongside Neil Gallagher in midfield as Eamonn Doherty and Hugh McFadden drop out of the starting line-up.
Anthony Thompson and Christy Toye must make do with bench places despite playing influential roles in Donegal’s winning surge against Galway.
Paddy McBrearty, Michael Murphy and Colm McFadden are also named in the starting line-up. The trio are named in the full-forward line but it remains to be seen how they will line out.
Murphy has been deployed in several different positions by Donegal manager Rory Gallagher but there is speculation that he could play on the edge of the square to take advantage of Mayo’s perceived weakness at full-back.
McBrearty retains his place despite some wayward shooting against Galway with McFadden also named to start.
Eamon McGee is named to start at full-back despite an ankle knock in the Galway match. He could face up directly against Mayo wrecking ball full-forward Aidan O'Shea.
