With another Connacht title in the bag, Mayo's Cillian O'Connor, not surprisingly, is now focused on the All-Ireland series.
O'Connor notched 1-07 in Mayo's facile win over Sligo on Sunday last as the county claimed a fifth provincial title on the trot but the Ballintubber clubman sees the success as only a stepping stone in a quest to finally bring home Sam Maguire for the first time since 1951.
Speaking to RTÉ Sport, O'Connor said: "Our real focus was to get to the All-Ireland quarter-final and the five-in-a-row wasn't something we really dwelled on. In the future I'm sure it'll be a nice thing to say that we achieved that.
"The ultimate goal is to bring Sam Maguire back to Mayo, yet the majority of the 12 teams left in the All-Ireland will believe that they can win in it. The next step for us is the quarter-final. We don't know who we'll playing yet but we intend to train hard so that we're ready for the challenge."
