Cork's Jamie O'Sullivan is banned for the county's Munster Football Championship opener against Clare on Sunday due to a suspension.

The ban comes for striking Dublin's Diarmuid Connolly off the ball during the counties’ clash in the Allianz League final at the end of April; however, the ban has only come to light now due to a failure of the GAA to communicate it to the Cork County Board.

It is believed that Cork will not challenge the suspension due to the short period of time left before Sunday's championship clash.
