Casey O’Brien has stepped down from his position as Wicklow senior hurling manager.
Last Saturday’s Christy Ring Cup relegation play-off win over Mayo will prove to be his last match in charge after six years at the helm.
O’Brien told the Wicklow People: “I kind of knew that this was going to be my last year. It’s the sixth year. It’s a long time.”
He continued: “They’ve been six great years. Things didn’t go great this year but I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed every minute of it.”
