Fermanagh will contest the 2015 Lory Meagher Cup final, while the second place in the 6 June decider is still up for grabs.

Sean Duffy’s charges had to dig deep before claiming a 2-14 to 1-14 win over Leitrim at Brewster Park, Enniskillen.

The Erne County, who have lost both of their two final appearances to date, looked like possibly slipping up on home turf against the Connacht outfit but were spurred on by a Kevin McGarry goal and finished with three points to spare.

Free-taker John Duffy (0-08) was again impressive for Fermanagh, but the introduction of Sean Corrigan (0-02), coupled with McGarry’s goal handed the hosts the boost they needed.

Padraig O’Donnell (0-09) registered all of Leitrim’s first-half tally, as they led 0-09 to 1-05 at half-time, with Ciaran Corrigan (1-01) netting the Fermanagh goal.

Leitrim were dangerous on the restart with a John Ryan point quickly followed up by a Zak Moradi goal.

The visitors were firmly in the driving seat at this stage but let Fermanagh back into contention as the Erne County introduced some key players from the bench.

Substitute Kevin Ward put Leitrim into a 1-12 to 1-10 lead with a brace of scores, and although he tied the game, as a response to McGarry’s goal, Fermanagh were stronger late on.

At Páirc na hÉireann in Birmingham, Sligo made the long journey count by registering a 3-21 to 0-13 victory over new boys Lancashire.

Goals were key for Sligo, with Gary Cadden firing two in the opening 26 minutes, as the Connacht side led by 2-10 to 0-08 at half-time.

Lancashire were reduced to 14-men at this stage but Sligo showed no mercy on the restart.

Keith Raymond and Gerard O’Kelly-Lynch (0-06 each) were both in excellent form, while the bench also proved its worth with substitute Aidan Walsh netting Sligo’s third goal.
