Tyrone will go into this season’s national league without several of the players who helped them win the McKenna Cup last Saturday after the county confirmed that six players had departed the panel.
Joe McMahon, Mark Donnelly, Kyle Coney, Plunkett Kane all featured in Tyrone’s 1-13 to 0-10 win over Cavan.
Those players, along with Dermot Carlin and Kevin Gallagher will not be part of the league panel that is due to be announced this week.
It is understood that McMahon and Carlin were under significant time constraints due to matters outside football.
The exact circumstances surrounding the other players’ departures remains unclear.
