The Ireland panel for the hurling/shinty international series against Scotland has been announced and includes nine debutants.
Kerry’s John Egan, Brian Murphy and Shane Nolan have made Michael Walshe’s squad for the first time, along with Conor Lehane of Cork, Conor McCann of Antrim, David McInerney of Clare, Jonny McCusker of Down, Matthew Whelan of Laois, and Louth’s David Kettle.
The first of two games will take place in Inverness on 18 October with the return tie fixed for Newry a week later.
Ireland won both games last year to claim the Marine Harvest Quaich.
