Clare, Tipperary and Leitrim all maintained their promotion push with victories in Division 4.

It was nip and tuck early on between the Banner and Wicklow in Ennis, Gary Brennan's goal giving the table-toppers a slender 1-4 to 0-6 advantage despite the visitors having star man Leighton Glynn sent off.

Clare used the extra man to good effect as the game wore on though, another goal from Brennan making the points safe before James Stafford notched a consolation for Wicklow - 2-13 to 1-08 at the finish.

Tipperary were always in the driving seat against London, building on their 1-8 to 0-02 half-time advantage to run out comfortable 1-19 to 1-12 winners.

The Premier men were joined on five points in the table by in-form Leitrim, who dispatched Carlow 1-17 to 1-08.

Carlow were four points down at the break and their task became harder when Mark Brennan was sent off.

The hosts went nine points clear but a goal from Seamus Kinsella raised a flicker of hope.

James Glancy's strike settled the matter with six minutes left, however.

Antrim had an impresive 14-point victory over Waterford in Creggan.

Paddy Cunningham scored the Saffrons goal as CJ McGourty gave a scoring masterclass in a 1-17 to 0-06 win.
