Joe Sheridan has been named at full-forward in a Meath team that will have four Championship debutants to face Wicklow at Dr Cullen Park on Sunday.
Sheridan returns to the side after a spell in the USA. The player missed most of the Allianz League campaign, as Seamus McEnaney's side dropped down to Division 3
Donnacha Tobin, Alan Forde, Mark Collins and Conor Gillepsie have been handed starts in an inexperienced starting XV that will be missing the likes of Stephen Bray, Shane O'Rourke, Paddy Gilsenan and Cormac McGuinness.
Meath XV v Wicklow in the Leinster SFC Round 1 clash at Dr Cullen Park, Sunday at 3.30pm:
D Gallagher, M Burke, K Reilly, S McAnarney, D Tobin, B Menton, S Kenny, C Gillespie, B Meade, A Forde, M Collins, G Reilly, B Farrell, J Sheridan, C Ward.
Harry Murphy is expected to keep faith with the Wicklow side that won the Allianz League Division 4 title against Fermanagh for the eagerly awaited clash.
There is a doubt, however, over Michael McLaughlin, who sat out a challenge match last week.
Stephen Kelly will again line out for the county's hurlers on Saturday in their Christy Ring semi-final with Meath.
