A second All-Ireland U21 title in three seasons added a fresh coat of gloss to Dublin football’s golden era as they beat a spirited Roscommon side 2-12 to 0-11.
Jim Gavin’s side made a late surge which saw off Roscommon’s brave challenge at Tullamore.
Roscommon went two points clear late on, but the Dubs hit 1-5 in the final 12 minutes, including a Paul Mannion goal, to take their third title at this level.
