A fantastic All Ireland 60x30 final saw Wexford claim a memorable minor and senior double in front of over 500 spectators at the Williamstown Handball Club complex.

Barry Goff and Colin Keeling were in irrepressible form in the senior doubles final to secure the prestigious blue riband event.

Goff had lost out previously in three finals and at last bridged the gap to claim a senior gold medal, defeating Mayo pair Dessie Keegan and Joe McCann 21-12 21-17.

Goff said: "I just cannot believe we have finally got here. We knew we had put in the effort and knew that we were in the form to win the title but the Mayo lads are a fantastic pairing and Dessie was in top form tonight so we really had to put our best handball on there tonight to get the better of them. This is one win I think I will savour for a very long time"

Dean Corrigan and Cory Murphy defeated Roscommon’s Mark Nally and Cathal Connelly 13-21 21-10 21-15 in the minor doubles, while Cork’s Colm Jordan beat Gary McConnell from Meath 21-14 13-21 21-12 in the intermediate singles final.
