Handball legend Michael 'Ducksy' Walsh believes Cavan's Paul Brady will win his seventh All-Ireland Senior Singles title when he renews rivalries with Armagh’s Charly Shanks on Sunday.

Last year's final between the pair was a thrilling encounter, with Brady sealing his seventh crown to equal Walsh's haul on the 40x20 court.

If Brady can add title number eight, it would confirm his status as the best ever Irish player on the small court.

Kilkenny man Walsh, winner of total of 38 All-Ireland senior titles, said: 'Paul and Charly are two top players and, as well as that, two top athletes.

'Paul has really pushed up the bar over the last few years, but Charly has been on his heels for the last year or so and it’s going to be a cracking game.'

The 2011 GAA Handball 40x20 Senior Championship had plenty of drama and talking points, and the Armagh man has impressed all onlookers since his opening championship game.

Last year, he pushed the current world champion in the opening game, amassing 17 aces with his renowned power serve, but Brady surged ahead in the second to dominate the game and retain his crown.

'I suppose you would have to give Paul the nod, on the basis of the form he has shown over the last few months, and his record over the last decade or so,' said Walsh.
