GAA president Nickey Brennan has broken his silence on the on-going players strike in Cork.
Brennan has backed the county board's decision to appoint Teddy Holland as manager, insisting they had the authority to make the decision and they have opperated in accordance of GAA rules at all time.
The president went on to say that he Brennan expects to hear from the Cork County Board later this week regarding their ability to participate in the Allianz National Football and Hurling Leagues.
In a statement, the president paid tribute to the efforts of Kieran Mulvey, CEO of the Labour Relations Commission, as a facilitator of talks between the Cork board and the striking players.
